 12th Annual Emerald Empire Hempfest 
  (nonprofit organization in State of Oregon)   free admission, donations appreciated

 12:00 PM MAURIE JACOBS PARK - North on Chambers becomes River Road, first right (East) Fir Lane

WHERE: MAURIE JACOBS PARK, Eugene, Oregon 
By bike or car: North on Chambers to River Road, first right (East) Fir Lane after NW Expressway intersection; 
can also access from footbridge at North Bank, Valley River Center

FREE TO THE PUBLIC - ALL AGES WELCOME, FAMILY FRIENDLY

A native prayer will open the event on Friday and close it on Sunday.

The three-day celebration offers free music, electric and acoustic bands, fun-filled activities, information and education stations, food booths, new product demonstrations,

hemp apparel fashion show modeled by Ganja Goddesses and speakers.

The mission is to provide knowledge about the many uses of hemp in home, business, industry and agricultural fields.

Hemp is a highly nutritious food whose seeds have prevented famines, whose seed oil is a health food. 

Other hemp varieties are being used as a fiber for textiles and paper and as a safe source for building products like insulation, roofing, hemp cement, medium density fiber board, paint and plastic 
and fiberglass that can be used in autos, guitars, furniture, water bottles and more. 

Other uses include biofuels and graphene substitute. Hemp can replace many products currently made from toxic fossil fuels and scarce forests.

Art booths and vendors will feature hemp products and information booths. 

Guest speakers will discuss environmental benefits of hemp, medical uses of marijuana and the movement to end prohibition.

The festival is family-friendly (alcohol-free and drug-free as required by City of Eugene). No illegal activities will be tolerated. Dogs are permitted on leashes.
